The PathfinderCore PRO external authentication license allows Pathfinder to authenticate users through standard LDAP authentication servers including Microsoft Active Directory. User roles can be created in Pathfinder and associated with groups in an ldap server to control access rights. A network administrator can then easily control who can access Pathfinder resources by assigning users to the groups in the LDAP authentication system. When a user attempts to login to Pathfinder web pages, the authentication request is sent to the ldap server for verification and authorization.
